Let’s Lace Up
Walk Together. Raise Awareness. Make an Impact.
Another Canadian is diagnosed with diabetes every three minutes. Lace Up to End Diabetes is a community-driven 5 km walk that brings people together to raise funds and awareness for the four million Canadians living with diabetes.
Hosted by volunteer Community Champions across the country, each walk promotes physical activity, connection, and visible support for those affected by diabetes.

About Lace Up
Launched in 2022, Lace Up to End Diabetes began as a national movement to connect communities through physical activity and purpose.
Since then, thousands of participants across Canada have laced up, shown their glow, and raised over $2 million to support Diabetes Canada’s programs, advocacy, and research.
Each walk is led by local Community Champions who bring people together to raise awareness, strengthen community connections, and improve the quality of life for the four million Canadians living with diabetes.
In 2026, our goal is $200,000 and every dollar raised helps make a lasting impact for Canadians living with diabetes.
